The school library welcomes all students and staff!
During the day there is a teacher-librarian as well as library assistants and IT technicians on duty. The Librarians, vigorously encourage the development of research skills and the promotion of reading.
The library is open from 7.30am to 3.30pm during the school year. It houses an extensive range of resources and is computerised. Including collections of print materials: non-fiction, fiction and reference resources.
The Library’s Learning Environment has a variety of spaces that are available for class or student groups. Our IT provisions include Lenovo Laptops, iMacs and MacBook’s. The furniture in the library includes student desks, large work tables, discussions lounges and Tech Cove. We have a variety of activities available in our library before school, during lunch 1 and 2 and after school. These include games such as chess,lego,uno and many more.
Come in and enjoy! Make an effort to visit the Library to meet the Library Staff. There is a lot they can help you with. Students can visit the library before and after school, as well as at breaktimes.
ICT
Kelmscott Senior High School is proud to offer a range of technology options for students and staff.
There are over 1500 devices located throughout the school, including Macbooks, Windows laptops, MacBooks and iPads. Our classrooms are each fitted with a data projectors which allows the use of interactive technologies in the classroom.
Through the enrolment process, which includes acceptance of the ICT Responsible Use Policy, students are given access to the school’s computer network. Once the Third Party Permission Slip has been returned, parents will be sent a link to complete the online consent process. The Permission Slip is located under Prospective Students – Enrolments section of this website.
Many of our school’s teachers make use of online learning opportunities, this is predominantly done via Google Classrooms and SEQTA.
The ICT Office, located within the School Library,
is open between 7:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
