Our Purpose
Student Services provides a strong network of care to ensure every student experiences a sense of belonging at Kelmscott SHS.
We work closely with students, families, and staff to build resilience, responsibility, and respect – helping every young person thrive.
What We Do
Our team supports students across five key areas:
Wellbeing & Pastoral Care
We promote positive mental health and social-emotional development through proactive programs and responsive support.
Engagement & Attendance
We work with students and families to encourage strong attendance, positive engagement, and personal success.
Behaviour Support
We provide fair, consistent, and supportive processes to guide students in making positive choices.
Transition & Belonging
We support students as they enter and progress through high school, ensuring they feel connected and confident at every stage.
Collaboration
We partner with families, teachers, and external agencies to provide coordinated and effective support tailored to each student.

Our Student Services team works alongside the School Psychologist, Chaplain, School Nurse, Education Assistants, and external agencies to provide holistic support for every student.
Student Leadership & Voice
At Kelmscott SHS, student voice matters.
Our Student Councillors, supported by the Student Services Team, play a key role in shaping a positive and inclusive school culture.
Student Councillors:
- Represent student voice and share ideas and feedback
- Lead by example, modelling respect and responsibility
- Help organise events such as assemblies, Harmony Week, and fundraising activities
- Promote wellbeing, inclusion, and school connection
- Represent the school within the wider community
Through these opportunities, students build leadership skills while helping create a school where everyone feels they belong.
