Act-Belong-Commit (A-B-C) campaign encourages everyone to take action to protect and promote their own mental health. Evidence suggests that staying active (mentally, physically, socially and spiritually), belonging to community groups and clubs (i.e. sporting clubs, dance clubs, charity groups, etc.), and committing to challenges (i.e. learning something new) and goals that provide meaning and purpose help to keep people mentally healthy. People with good mental health generally feel happier and are better able to cope with problems and stress.
